1st attempt at changing jet pump oil......

Hello! I am attempting to change the jet pump oil in my 2002 GTX limited 4tec. I have no filler hole on the impeller cover (cone). I downloaded the shop manual and do I understand correctly that I have to pull the jet pump off and fill cone with grease not oil ?? It looks like the GTX DI model uses jet pump oil. I'm starting to chicken out.. LOL Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Without a prop removal tool..(to stand the removed pump onto while you remove the cone)...just take off the nozzle while pump is still in the boat. If you ain't got no filler "hole"...prolly just marine grease. Pull the cone and find out.

It's not that hard, just take your time. Have a tube of marine grease on hand to add inside the cone (it doesn't need to be packed totally full, just a big gob on the bearing and inside the cone then put the cone back on.
