1999 gtx seadoo starter motor spins but wont crank engine??

Hi,

When I try start my ski the starter motor spins but is not engaging in the engine? any ideas? Is this what they call the solenoid? If so any good places to get one from please?

If it's spinning... it's not the solenoid.


The Bendix has gone bad. Either it's rusted to the shaft, and not popping out... or the one way bearing is done. In a very rare occurance... the gear on the end is ripped up.

Pull the starter, and check it out.
