I havent done anytihng else with it yet. I replaced the switch and ran all the wires. The only thing I need to do is mount the battery, but once I figured out the oil tank needed to come out I stopped. I am working on the hydroturf and some upgrades to the trailer. I think I might wait and do it over the winter.

I am gonna try to finish it up tomorrow while
I am working at the firehouse. IF I do, ill get some pics up.

No, honestly I have just been too lazy. And leave for vacation if FL in 2 days. I will try to get it done when I get back.

I wonder what would happen if you painted the hydroturf with black fabric paint, or the krylon polymer FUSION spray paint. Maybe even dye the hydroturf black. Do you think that would work? Hydroturf will send you some samples to experiment with. I got some free samples before I ordered the whole set.

Something to think about before you install, because once it's there, it's there.

Amen!

I was thinking after i put mine in I would have an area or two that would be coming up by now but that stuff is sutck there for good!

Gotta say the people of at HT are really good at what they do and provide a great product.

I just got busy with stuff and working a lot. I actually loaned the boat out for this weekend to a friend. When it comes back sunday, I will try to get something up.

I still havent finished it yet. I loaned the boat to a friend last week and he is bringing it back today. I need to get it done soon thogh. I am taking it out in a couple weeks for a 3 day stay tied up to a houseboat.

I finally got the hydroturf in today while I am at work. Only took 2 hours. Was very easy. I think they gray turned out good. There is some gray on the boat, so i think it looks good. Now I just need to replace the Sea Doo lettering across the back. I think I am gonna try to buy a scrap of the hyrdoturf and see if any of the local sign companys can cut the letters for me. I am thinking someone with some skills should be able to easily. Anyone on here wanna try?

I took some video of the audio system, but I only had my digital camera to use here. It sounds like crap on my laptop, but I will try to upload them in a bit.

I am gonna add this. I have no idea how it will sound since it was recorded on my digital camera and I have only heard it on my laptop. If it sucks like I think it will, I will try to add another one with my camcorder from home.

Looks AWESOME!

The gray turned out really good really matches the speaker grills! Looks awesome!

I put up another post about how I thought it looked, but said D4*M good, so it
must have got deleted by a mod???

I will PM you what I would try with the SEA DOO letters if you can't get a sign company
to cut the Hydroturf the way you want it!!

Glad it worked out well for you!!

Video/Audio

RFoster.
The Hydro-Turf came out really great! BTW the audio and video (except for a few shakkkkes) was really great as well. I wish I was able to work on my toys at work like some can.... :)
When I see your project I get tempted to just buy an older boat and do all the mods like you and some of the other guys are doing on this site. Then I come to my senses and say, "just wait for the condo to sell"...

LED trialer lights

Man change your trailer lights out to LEDS!! looks so much better than plastic ones! I have all mine done and I get complements all the time on how bright they are. When I bought my boat the plastic ones were falling off.
Plus you never have to change LEDs out, or worry about them not burning.

I got mine I think for under $50 bucks, and the middle 3 light bar from for $20, and the rest for around $50 for 6 marker lights

They are well worth it though!

I plan on redoing the whole trailer over winter. I know it looks rough.

Just contemplating about doing the upgrade to the 10" subs. right now I have plenty of loud good solid sound with the 6x9's.. there is a good mid level bass, but no real low-low vibrating teeth chatering bass.. you can hear my system easy and clear from about a football field away I would guess. The 6x9"s really put out good solid music..Just wondering if I switched to the 10"s if i would need to add more tweeters to compensate for the loss of mid/highs produced by the 6x9"s what do you think? Thanks

How many other speakers do you have? With the 4 6" speakers, mine sounds perfect. I actually have another component set of Kicker 6.5's that I might add up in the front of the boat this winter. I have even thought about changing the 10's to 12's if they would fit, I havent looked much yet. The bass isnt really teeth chattering, but you can definitely tell there are subs. I would think you would like it more than the 6x9's but like anything else we have done it all comes down to personal preference.

Yeah i have three pair, or six mid range 4 ( 6.5" ), and 2( 5.25 ) plus the 6x9's".. It sounds really good , and clear.. kinda hate to mess with it, but you know human nature is to want to upgrade.. So lets do this; if you decide to go with 12's" let me know and I'll get the 10's" from you if want to do that..

Only problem i see, is Kicker doesnt make the 12's in a marine sub. Only ones I can find are Polk and I am not sold on them yet. I will keep ya posted though...It sounds fine the way it is...but i'm like you...always fun to upgrade.
