Picked up a 1998 SeaDoo with a 787 engine. The engine would not turn over. Pipe wrench on shaft would not turn it. Pulled engine. Pulled head. Put oil in crank case and worked with it until I got it freed up. It turns easily now. Should I put it back together? Or what else should I do.

I do not know the history of this Jet Ski or did the person I bought it from. What you guy guys do? I do know the jet ski has not run for several year.

I would pull the Raves/topend and check for cylinder scoring and or piston destruction first. If that checks out a compression test should be done. Even if that all checks out ok it could still have bad bearing/crankshaft that needs attention.

Btw, I'm close to your area, Where do you ride?

throw motor back in, and rip-ur around. Wouldnt hurt to add some oil to tank too, just to help re-lube the inner workings.
