1998 GTX Jet Pump Double Lip Seal Orientation

Hey everyone,

Finally putting my jet pump on my 1998 GTX together.. the double lip seal i got from OSD is a little different (better design). Im trying to figure out the orientation of it which side faces the bearing the one with spring or the one without?

Manual for newer models shows this seal to have the spring facing out! You sure its supposed to face the bearing ?

Installed it with the spring out; according to chester may he rest in peace, that would be the correct way of doing it. I read it on another forum after some research and i trust what he says as he worked on seadoos for soo long till he passed away earlier this year
