Hi guyz.

The doo was boggin down, runnin 20 mph tops, throttle going up and down on its own. I took plate off the sides of the carbs and pulled the small tube filters out and cleaned them, they were really clogged up. When i put everything back together, the ski started up, then coughed really loud, and started spittin fuel out of the carbs and cutting off. It also started makeing a loud clicking noise as if the starter was dragging. Just wondering if anyone could give me some advice. Thanks!

pull the mag housinf off...you got the fuel lines on correctly..also volt test the battery while holding 5500rpm

Fuel spittn .....is probly got the Lever at needle seat ka-ca. tear diapham?
noises..........many factors can contribute there. All could be fuel associated.
Go thru the carbs and circulatory system to do it right, do it once. Bill

I took fuel lines off top of carbs to take off mag side carb to get to right side plate on left carb to clean tube filters. it fired up fine when i put it all back together, soon as i gave it fuel it coughed and cut off.

The timing isnt off because it still runs. Now if you start it, it may or may not make the "dragging starter sound", but it idles, (barely rough)

Now also if you start it, and try to give it fuel, it boggs reallly bad and spits fuel out of carb, and then cuts off.

I'm not sure what the pop off means, i'm kind of new to working on these guyz.:ack:

Please visit the how-to tech section, A good write-up on carbs, or Snipes Corner.

you went to the trouble of cleaning the filters' while carbs were in ski, just take them out and gothru them...sounds your needles are sticking if fuel exiting the hole on diaphram side.

Spittin fuel....

If your spittin fuel, sounds like a possible low pop off. But, you can spit fuel for other reasons like your clearance on the rotary valve being off.

I chimed in cause I didn't see anyone mention the grey Tempo fuel lines.

If your fuel lines are grey, get rid of them, clean your carbs, check your pop off and try again......
