1997 xp not turning on

hey guys i went to take the ski out thismorning and started it up for a couple seconds, twice!. then 5 mins later before i left i checked it again, but when i put the DESS key on there was nothing, i pressed the start button 5 times and nothing either.

i have got a new DESS key just last week so it cant be that.
i got a new battery today and it wasnt that,
ive checked all fuses and replaced them just incase but still nothing.
ive also checked all the cables that connect to the speedo, vts etc and also battery cables, everything looks fine.

anyone have any idea what could be the problem?
anything to check for? i cant figure out what it could be

Even NEW batteries can drain, so check the voltage, Then the ground cable at starter, Then the ground at magnito connection coupler thru to the battery. HTH
