Ok so I have a 1997 XP that i've been rebuilding this winter. All new everything (new rave bellows, cleaned raves, fuel lines, oil lines, fresh oil, motor aligned with tool, new aqua torque starter, etc). I've cleaned all the connections while the motor was out. All connections are clean and I've coated them with dielectric grease. I finally got a new and fully charged AGM battery. I put the key on the dess post and I get no beeps. I can however push the start button and the engine will turn over but I get no power to my gauges. VTS unit is shot so that it disconnected. One thing is that I have a multifunction gauge on my 97 XP. I've done a lot of searching and I dont think I've seen anyone with the multifunction gauge on this model. I've only seen the analog fuel gauge stock on these skis. I noticed that there is a connector on the multifunction gauge that isnt connected (tan wire with blue stripe and a purple wire) but there is no connector to hook this up from the mpem. Any ideas with that? Could that be why I'm not getting power to my gauges? Anyways, here is a summary of the things I've checked with this ski.

-Checked mpem power pins and supplied a 12v source to pins 24 and 26 and the 5amp fuse did not blow (according to the test on seadoo source).
-fuses on mpem are good (15amp and 5 amp fuse are good and do not blow when power is added or trying to start)
-Plug key into dess and no beeps but the motor does turn over just fine
-took buzzer out and tested it with a 12v battery and it does beep
-new AGM battery fully charged
-checked connections in rear electrical box and everything is clean and greased. 15amp fuse is good and not blown.
-all connections from battery are clean to the motor.
-multifunction gauge has 1 2 pin connector not connected (tan w/ blue stripe and purple wire) but 4 pin connection is connected
-VTS is dead and all connections are disconnected and removed 7.5 fuse.

What else can I be looking at? MPEM should be ok if the engine turns over right?

Sounds like you just have a bad beeper. Do you have spark?

Take some pictures of your MPEM and the wiring. I have a feeling someone might of put a 97 GSX MPEM and LCD in.

I'll take a picture of the wiring and mpem in the morning and post here. As far as the buzzer being bad, can it still be bad even though it still beeps when I connect the buzzer directly to a battery?

Update:

I was able to start my ski with no problems today which means the MPEM is good right? I still get no power to my gauges and no beeps (even though the buzzer works when 12v are applied directly to it). According to the wiring diagram, the purple and black wires provide the 12v power to the gauges. With the ski on, i checked for a voltage on the purple and black wires and I don't get any current. I applied 12v directly to the gauges with my booster battery and they do in fact power up. Any ideas on that?

Also, I took pictures of my MPEM and gauges. (The gauges are all from a 99 xpl since I wanted an RPM gauge that I was parting out except for the multifunction display).

I have rad a few posts where they had no power to the gauges and the beeper didn't work where the issue was an unplugged harness behind the gauges in the front storage area...
