So..........i come out of a turn on the lake, glass-smooth water, WOT, haulin ass, then i hear this horrific rattling noise underneath me followed by a severe loss of power. shortly after, it stalls and will not crank over. im afraid i seized it :( so i beached it and pulled the plugs. the front plug looked normal, tan in color. the rear plug had metal fragments peppered all over the electrode. does anybody have any suggestions about where i should get parts? i havent torn into it yet, but it looks to be a winter-long project :( prior to it dying, i idled around a no-wake section and suddenly noticed an alarm-like ringing noise coming from the cowl. none of my gauges work so i had no idea what this meant. i checked the oil, still had 1/2 tank, so i topped off the oil. not 10 mins later and it seizes. HELP!!:ack:

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I pulled the head off and the cylinders both look fine. The rear piston has fragments on top of it, but is otherwise intact. The engine won't spin over either way, so now I'm thinking its a crank bearing.

Pull the engine and tear it down to see what it looks like inside. If you just need a top end, you could get a good price on parts on out "parts" link at the top of the page. It supports the forum also.
