My 1997 Speedster has a leak near the oil tank. I thought it was leaking out the top of the oil sensor fitting. But found that it's really leaking out the check valve! If I pinch the hose off witht he check valve on it, the leak stops. It's made a mess of the engine compartment.
Is it just a matter of replacing the check valve (used to test the oil tank for leaks)?? Or could I pump some air down into the system to clear the valve. Wondering why the oil would push back up into the line like that.
Thoughts?
