I found a broken 97 XP close to me. The main attraction is actually the trailer.

These units normally sell running for $3500+ Canadian where I am.
So what is the trailer worth, and is the XP worth it? I'm going to assume it needs an engine. They say it sounds ok out of water but knocks in water.

The worst part is hull damage and spray bombed engine bay... I hope previous owner had regrets on that move.

Missing the intake grate. Some jack off painted everything on the motor I would stay away

I was feeling the same way.. the spray bombed engine bay being the worst part.

I might focus on finding a X4 hull XP anyway.. the more I read the more I want one.

In my opinion when I see hull/gel coat damage like that it's always a pass regardless of the motor.

My first ski had serious hull damage and repairing it was a nightmare. I told myself from then on I'm buying skis based in hull condition.

Motors are fairly easy to work on and replace. Might just be me and my distaste for gelcoating is strong and I will avoid it at all costs.

Appreciate the advice all! I will stay away and avoid hull damage now for sure! Hopefully this fall/winter I can come across something that needs a motor only.
