Went to the lake started the ski ran for 20 seconds then died as if lanyard was pulled. Battery was checked as well as fuses and everything was fine lanyard looks ok but the ski will not do anything. Battery connectors were ok, the ski won't even make a noise and the dash will not do anything. Any clues as to what it might be?

All the fuses in the mpem are powered through a 15A fuse that is in the back electrical box. be sure to check that one too if you didn't already. In normal conditions the fuses should never blow unless there is some sort of problem, so if you find its bad, don't try anything larger than a 15A.

one other thing, will the electronics power up if you press the start button, lanyard off? normally that will activate the gauges, & VTS for about 30 seconds.

Thanks for the reply I will check for sure and no they will not activate at all

I had a similar thing happen with my 97 xp, hit a wave and it died, but would power back up, and quit again if I did anything, even hitting the trim. Turned out that the battery shorted internally and could just barely power the mpem and gauges. If you just checked voltage with no load on the battery it might still be bad.

Jump the solenoid. Does it crank or not? This will help us help you much better.
I changed the solenoid with a new one and the same thing.

I tried 2 other working batteries and nothing.

I get that you replaced the solenoid. But again, jump the se kid as it will determine which direction to go to help diagnose your issue.
