1997 gtx cuts off but will start right back up. Have already replaced dess post and key. Cleaned fuel filters checked fuel line for fuel flow. It is like it just loses fire. Any suggestions on what could be wrong?

Old Fuel? low compression? Bad electrical connection from Mag? Poor battery connection? Bad Ground connection to engine by starter? Bad wire at the Lanyard Post? Here are just some problem areas to check.

Karl, Thanks for the reply, compression should be find, because it has plenty of power when running. Fuel is fresh, checked the ground going to the starter an the one going into the black box at the back. Is there any kinda sensor that could shut the engine off? Oil, temp, anything? I took the airbox off and ran it until it shut off, while the engine was still turning I sprayed starter fluid in the carbs just to make sure it wasn't a fuel issue. Still shut down. Could a ground wire shut it off and allow it to start right back? Also it seems to run longer at an idle, still less than a minute. Thats why I thought it was running out of fuel. Thanks for the help.
