1997 gsx wont start

I only needed to run the ski from a boat launch to my dock which was about a few hundred yards. It started up fine but when i stopped it to let my sister of the back it wouldn't start. We could hear a click when we pushed the button, but it didnt even crank the engine. There was also a low 12volt warning but it started with that warning the first time. Maybe just charge the battery?

it will click if not enough juice - try charging but getting it load tested for free at autozone or similar store might save some time and headaches diagnozing things
