1997 GSX misses after warmed up

Hello from the east coast of Florida.

I have a 1997 GSX that starts and runs fine until it's warmed up. Has a new stator, battery, recitifier. Black fuel lines, carb filters are clean and this is a recent developement. Compression is 140 mag side, 130, PTO side when both hot and cold. Was operating well one weekend and then not the next.

Starts well in and out of the water, runs well until 7 to 10 minutes on the water then starts missing badly and backfiring.

SOunds like a bad connection on the MAG or CDI. OR... your CDI or coil is going bad.

On a side note 10 difference on the compression is a little too much. I would rebuild the top end at the end of season. Just my opinion.
