I'm going through my GSI and out of curiosity, I unplugged the oil impulse line to the carb (for only about 2 seconds) and I noticed that I wasn't really getting any oil flow while idling. Is this normal? Should there by a full flow? I noticed a small amount of spattering but not a lot of volume. I bring this up because I'm worried that my ski isn't burning enough oil judging by the amount of smoke that I'm seeing. I know how to align the marks on the oil injection pump and how to bleed the lines. I am planning to replace the 3/32 lines as well.

At idle... there is very little oil being pumped.

If you are worried about the system... the service it, and then you will know. Replace the filter, and the 2 small hoses, then bleed it.

But, the "Quick and Dirty" way to check, is to reach down to the oil pump, and hold the arm open to "Full" at idle. It should start to puke smoke in 5~10 seconds.

What size are those two small hoses, 1/8"? Also, just to give myself an idiot check, the engine should not be running when bleeding lines, right? Is the filter just a typical small engine filter available at NAPA or is there something different about it since its for oil and not gas? Thank you for the help!
