I have just put in two rebuit 787 engines. Both were proffesionally rebuilt by a Seadoo Dealer. I put them in, attached all the lines checked and rechecked every attachment point. When i started them up i let them warm up for about three min. i put them in gear and full throttled them. They ran all the way up to 7000 rpm for about ten seconds then both engines dropped to 4000 rpm for two seconds then shut off. i tried to restart them for about ten min without luck. i tried again the next day and it did the same thing. What is going on? Please Help!!!!!

im a novice and may be way off. But in my opinion, If at 4k the boat thinks your in neutral. If you cant restart maybe your having F-N-R issues. My challenger is was a little sloppy and at one point I had similar problems. also make sure your getting the 2 beeps before starting.

was this in the water? Did you check to see if there was cooling water pumping though them?
