So I unlocked the thread from the dead.

Ok, so after a brief hiatus.......I finally built the engine again. It now has the correct 95 only crank in it. So, just a few gaskets and I'll bead blast the assembled engine, prime and paint it. And work on putting this back in the hull. I've been traveling to Iowa since February been out in the speedster a few times but haven't been on any skis. So, I'm hoping to finish this, drag it to Iowa and ride out there on the weekends after work.......I hope.

Might be installing equipment down your way over the winter. You're near Gaston right?

I'm about 1.5 hours away. Mpower has a house on Gaston. I was always up there hanging out with him. Rented a house up there for a week a few weeks back. Hung out with him and spent a week on the lake with the wife and kid.

Sold my 09 212x, and picked up a 2020 this May before the market went totally insane.

Ha, the powersports market is insane right now. I can't touch a 125cc 2 stroke dirtbike near me for less than $2500 and that is for a 99 to 03. I bought an 04 in Des Moines while out there on work for $1,450 and put about $350 into it. So I can still make money if I had to sell it. I just wish I had time to enjoy the toys. I go to Iowa for 2 to 3 weeks at a time and am usually only home for a week maybe 2 if I'm lucky and that has been since February. The ovetime money is insane but I just dumped that into tile and coping for my pool, LOL

That is a really nice set up Suke super jealous. Enjoy the times with the boat. My kids finally started liking it a few years ago. Now they're 12 and 16 and both got their boating/pwc licenses this summer. Pretty cool seeing my 12 year old daughter driving the boat.

Little one right now loves the tube. He doesn't really care for when I wanna fill up the ballasts and do some surfing. I try to get some surfing in for a couple minutes every time out if I can. Took a gaggle of people out this weekend and left the board at home as I figured all the kids would complain it took away from their tubing time.

What up bro! Tis the season for you A/C guys
I've taken a position as a commercial project manager now. I had more free time when I was working for me. Dan have you ever done any work for Pratt industries? Wrapping up a big industrial job for them currently.

Glad to see you back at it. I was beginning to think you were never going to finish that beauty.
I hope you get it running soon. Cheers!

Lots of stuff going on outside seadoo life. But now with all that's going on I figured I better get back at it.

Is there way to tell it is the original motor in a 95 xp800?
From what I've been told only the dealer can run those numbers. The only other way to tell if it's a 95 engine is to pull the PTO off and see if the crank has fine threads vs. 96 and later course threads. 95 AND 96 cases do not have the counter balance fill hole in the outside of the case. I modded my case to have the fill hole and also a drain hole.

Engine is all bead blasted and primed. I'll scuff the primer and shoot it with the U-Tech paint I had mixed which should be close to the original white.
