Hey guys new to the site. I got a project ski that needed carb work which was rebuilt with mikuni issued rebuild kit. The left is spitting & the right one there’s nothing going in. It’s dry. The ski starts but then bogs down after a few seconds. It’s a 657x engine with dual mikuni carbs & I believe it’s the bn44 type 2 mikuni.
The image is for reference and was taken before lines were connected.

Any and all help appreciated. Thank you guys

I am not an expert, but I have done a couple of these recently. Can you clarify a few things:
  1. Did you rebuild the carbs, or were they rebuilt by someone else?
    1. If you rebuilt, did you follow the sticky posted in this forum, including pop-off pressure testing and pressure hold testing?
  2. What do you mean by "spitting"? Does this mean spraying through the 3 orifices within the throttle body (i.e. Low speed jet & High speed Jet), or are you seeing fluid blowing out through the cylinder?
Regardless, I would suggest going back through them again. Let us know how it goes.
