i have a 1993 and a 1994 xp. my 94 has oil droplets in the water that comes out the exhaust when running and on the 93 i dont seem to notice it. is this typical or do i have a problem somewhere. also, there is a water outlet by the rear hook on them. when running the 94 shoots water out of it and the 93 doesnt. hope i am explaining this well enough. i am a first time owner so please bear with me but i am pretty mechanically inclined. thank you for any help, chad domann

you want water shooting out the 'tell-tale" hole. So, you have a blockage somewhere on the 93. As for water/oil droplets out the exhaust, its probably build-up insidethe exhaust, liqifying, so it'll blow-out after a few minutes of running.

seadooya, you were correct. the hose on the 93 was blocked. cleaned it out and blew air thru it and now has water exiting the hole!!! 94 seems to be clearing up (not nearly the amount of smoke and oil already after only running it for about 2 minutes). next question: what is normally wrong when the trim does not work? its not working on either machine. hope you guys dont think that this is where i started because i have gone thru the entire manual and already spent about 20 hours trying to bring these machines up to speed. there are just certain things that common sense and being a long time owner can teach you that no manual ever will !!! not sure when SEADOO went from manual to electronic VTS trim, but if electrical, inspect the fuses, should be 7.5amp, if good, make sure its clean, other than that, remove the lid where unit is, and inspect there...hook wires to battery to get the motor to "throw" the arm in/out..

ok, sounds good. i'll give that a try. both of them have electric VTS so i will hope for the fuses to be blown but if they are that usually means theres a short somewhere. oh well, i gotta start somewhere. thank you for your help thus far, chad domann

I am having the same problem with my 95' spx. Only one of the pisser's is shooting water and when i run it on the hose no water is coming from the jet. Do I take off the clear hoses and blow them out??? Sorry to hijack your thread.

mine only has one pisser. i just took off the hose and dislodged the dirt that was built up inside and then blew it out with my compressor. snap tied it back on and all was fine. hope this helps you, chad domann
