Guys

I just picked up a 2013 GTI SE 130 with 0 hrs. Had it out for the first time on the learning key 25-35mph. It ran fine for the first hr or so but at one point had no pickup. The engine would rev fine but there was no thrust in the back and it started to vibrate a lot. Almost felt like the IBR was stuck. I shut it off, checked the intake grate and stuff and there was nothing stuck in it. Started her up and it was acting normal again. Got upto the 35 mph with the learning key with no issues. I do feel like it is louder than it used to be prior to this incident + at idle, the ski shakes a bit. Any ideas?

Many thanks

I thought about that too. But i'm not sure why it's vibrating at idle now. Also the ski now sounds louder when giving throttle.

You still have something small in there. Not enough to leave you dead in the water but enough to cause a vibration.

Why do anyone use the learning key when breaking in a motor?

You need to put some load on the engine so the rings set and seal properly.

Run it as You would normaly but avoid to go full throttle for more than like 20-30 sec.

Something got stuck and it fell loose when You stopped the engine. The added noise and vibrations is most likely in your head.

Run full throttle and You Should see approx 85 km/h. (89-90 after 10 hour break in)

No need to be gentle with your pwc. Its an engine not your wife.

I just bought a 2013 Sea Doo GTI 130 SE which has a slight vibration & is somewhat loud. I just had the dealer do the 10 hour service with 7 hours on her. Any others having this issue?

yeah mine is vibrating at idle.

I stops when I turn it off and starts again when I fire it up.

It's an engine... there kind of supposed to vibrate.

KK40384 was correct. I still had a short nylon rope rapped around the impeller shaft. So once I freed that up, the vibration was gone. I now have 8 hours on the ski and all is fine.

When I run the ski to flush it out of water, it does vibrate a tad bit and rattles a bit. But I think it's just normal.

I also installed the Seadoo Depth finder. It is works great. Bit pricey but very useful and highly recommend.

It is normal to vibrate and rattle out of the water. By design, when in the water the impeller puts a load on the shaft that prevents this vibration and rattle.
