Thanks in advance for any suggestions

We have 2006 RTX - the battery is the original and only about 40 hours on the machine. We got the message "12 volt low" while riding and then the engine stopped - good thing we were in front of the house...

We put it on the lift and after about 10 minutes tried to start it. It started and the "12 volt low" message came back and the engine died again. After a couple tries with them same result there was not enough juice to start again. I'm charging the battery but not certain what the outcome might be. My first thought was the battery was not holding or taking a charge and during the cruise it dropped below 12 volts and shut down.

I was going to just buy a new battery but thought I would ask for some opinions first - any thoughts on what the issue might be.

No Go

The battery was bad - did not hold a charge. Put in new battery and it will not start. Engine turns over but it won't run. It's like the key is not allowing to run - or it is out of gas.

Checked all fuses, connections and all was OK. Only 29 hours on the seadoo - not sure what could be wrong.

When it wasnt dead, you didnt try to jump it for charge it while it was in the ski did ya? Do you get the beeps when you put the lanyard on?

When it first happened, I charged it in the seadoo but battery did not charge. The 12 volt low kept appearing and would not keep running after a short time there was not enough battery juice to even turn the engine over. When I plug in the lanyard, there is one long beep followed by 2 short beeps that chirp every 5 seconds or so (like usual) - so I think it recognizes the key properly.
