Does anybody have a idea as to what a learner key for this machine will cost and / or does anyone have one for sale. I Am getting ready to buy a used RXT tomorrow and the seller says he cant find the learner key. Hope somebody has some thoughts and suggestions.........Thanks

Just so you know, all keys (learner, normal) have the same serial chip inside. Just the float color is different. The mode gets programmed into the ECU. I have a box full of learner keys with the white float.

Also, you cannot just buy a key and go, you have to program the key into the ECU. You either need to have this done at a dealer, or with someone with the Candoopro system (www.candoopro.com) , or you can buy the home version of Candoopro and do it yourself.

Sea Dood: any idea what one of these keys would cost from a dealer and I would suppose minimum shop time to program it. What do you think?

These keys usually are around $45 at the dealer. Some dealers will program the keys for free if you buy the key from them, but some dealers charge as much as $100 to program a key! It all depends on your local dealer. Since it looks like you are in Alaska, you probably don't have too many options. Why don't you call your closest dealer and ask?; they might be good guys and not charge you for programming. (then again....)

Programming a key is simple, takes just a couple of minutes, tops.

If you have the regular lanyard, I wouldnt bother with the learner one. Not unless you have a young person you are going to let ride it.
