08 RXP 1 long beep after intial 2 beeps

Hello all,

I have an 08 RXP. When I put on the lanyard, I get the normal double beeps but then 1 long beep after. I would say roughly 4-5 seconds. Changed spark plugs, charged battery and tried known good one, no change.

Cranks and starts but dies immediately (like less than 1 second)

I hear fuel pump going when i put on thr lanyard.

What is this telling me?

Doesnt the normal double beep indicate all is good in that?

I know it is sensing the key properly since when I try a different wrong DESS key it doesn't give me the double beep anymore.


Should I just take it in so they can hook it to the computer to get this figured out? Don't want to waste a bunch of time if they can tell me quickly.

Ended up being a ground that was on the positive terminal on the starter. Nothing is simple when you buy other peoples projects....started right up.
