2006 sea doo rxp beep problem

Hello! I am new to the sea doo community and was looking for help on a weird problem I have been having with my pwc. Recently when I go to install the dess key onto the post my sea doo starts to beep faintly before I even completely insert the key onto the post. When I insert the dess key fully I get the normal 2 beeps and I am able to start the pwc. However, the long faint beeping is continuous and stays ringing with the pwc on. The beep even continues to ring for about 30 seconds after I pull the key out. Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your response. The only thing that is confusing me is the beep continues even after the key is pulled from the post. Any idea why that might be?

It started out very faint a week ago. Now it is full volume.
