I have an issue with my ski, (08 GTI155SE). When it is cold, it cranks and starts no problem. After riding for a period of time (more than 30) minutes, I have an intermittent issue where the engine will not crank. I hear the beeps, see "welcome onboard" on the display but when I push the start button it will not crank or it has a very slow crank. It does start instantly when it does crank but I may have to push the button and release it a few times. I have had the battery tested (3rd season on an AGM battery) and I replaced the starter solenoid. Again, when it is cold or allowed to cool for a period of time- no problem. Problem has only occurred after riding for a period of time, shutting it down and trying to immediately restart. Is there a common failure mode for the starters these units, do they just go out or can they be intermittent?
Any opinions?

Can be the starter getting hot and the windings shirting and it the battery going bad. Rough one to diagnose as you have to test it when it is acting up.
