06 RXT no power

Went to turn on my 06 RXT yesterday and when I put the DESS key on the post, my instrument panel begins to light up but then just turns right back off. Doesn't give any readings, no beeps, nothing.
When I put the key on the post, I do hear what I would assume to be the fuel pump make a little noise but stops at the same time the instrument panel looses power.
Battery is OK but it's the same one since I bought it about 2 years ago. Also installed new DESS post about 3 months ago.
Any ideas would be useful right now.

The system has a failsafe cutoff at a certain voltage... I think it's around 10.something. Charge it up and see what happens. If that doesn't pan out, check your lanyard.

First try cleaning the dess key with soap and water as well as the dess post. Also make sure the dess post ring is on tight and not broken. If that doesnt work take you battery to a place like autozone, they will test it for free :cheers:

Thanks. I'll check out the ring issue this afternoon.
Took the battery to get tested and it said battery was good but needed charging so I left it so they can charge it. Put it back on and same thing. Would battery that needs to be charged mean it's time for a new one?

No, during the offseason, it's "customary" for batteries to discharge. The cutoff that I posted about is a safety measure incorporated into your ski's system that will prevent damage from possibly occuring in a low voltage situation.

how would i go about disengaging the cutoff you are talking about or figuring out if this is the issue?
