05 rxp engine build!!

i currently lookin at a 05 seadoo rxp with a blown motor. but befor i buy it im kinda wantin it source the parts and see if its gonna be worth my wiled to buy it and build it. it needs a new bolck and the rest of the parts that would go with that pistions rods crank maby even a head ect... well im having a hard time finding parts fgor this thing so if anyone knows any where or any sight that would be helpfull that would be great.

New engine?....

If you have a rebuildable block, you can get a newly remanafactured engine from SBT for about $2300 bucks.....You'll need to allow a few more bucks for gaskets, etc....

Well Im the owner of an 05 Rxp with a blown engine, i had seadoo dealership fix it and rebuild the supercharger and also put a starter relay in it. It needed a new head because the old one was too far gone. Total price....4300. Just a heads up if you want a dealership to do it all.

NEVER buy a 4tec from SBT they dont use good parts to rebuild them, Like the pistons they use cast oem motor have forged.... There 2 strokes motor are find though from what ive heard.

My 4-tec rebuild from SBT lasted a whole 10 hours before it dropped a valve and blew up. Wasted most of my warranty waiting for another engine to be shipped, and installed. Good luck with SBT--I'm on engine number 2 with less than 3 weeks warranty left...

My SBT dropped a valve

Bought my 04 rxp 15 months ago with an SBT motor in it. Just dropped an exhaust valve into the #1 cylinder and decided to break the piston off the rod, crack the head and scour the cylinder wall. Of course, just past the 1 year warranty. Any suggestions for a re-manufactured motor? The dealer wants to drop in a $4000 brand new motor from Seadoo which is outrageous for $6000 used jet ski.
