04 wake crank sensor issue

My 2004 seadoo wake sunk at the dock due to opas boot split. I drained it out, removed the intake manifold and muffler and dried them out completely. Changed the oil and tried to start it. Won't start. Comes up with code p0337. I checked the crank sensor at 246ohms. Same at the ecu pins. Pulled the engine out and replaced the crank sensor anyway. Still won't start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The encoder wheel looked like it has a 2 tooth gap which I assumed is normal for it to know where number 1 cylinder is?

Should I try to find a new ecu for this?
Is there a service that can check the ecu?

When I rebuilt my engine last year, I remember reading about checking the gap between the encoder wheel and the sensor (all of the tangs); did you do that step? Too wide of a gap will reduce the voltage signal since this is a variable reluctance sensor. Signal strength needs to be 500mv minimum, and you really need a lab scope to analyze the signal properly. Once you've verified the ECU is getting a good crankshaft position signal, and if it's still not starting, you need to perform all of the standard steps for a no start condition ... check spark, fuel, etc.
