04 3d 787 premium starter "click"

hey...can anyone help me on here. Ive been riding skiis all my life. Know most problems and how to fix, but electrical shit...well i stay clear.

04 3d i try to start and it clicks when you hit the start button. Sometimes takes 2-3 times, but other times its 10-15! Whether its warm or cold doesnt seem to make a difference.

I have changed batteries and it doesnt seem to make a difference either

I swapped out the electrical rectifier with my GTX DI and it seems to work good (and the GTX seems to run OK too).

Anyone have similiar problems or same deal?

Thinking maybe a loose connection, but seems unlikely.

Have you checked the solenoid or the starter?

Short across the two main post of the solenoid if it turns over its the solenoid, if it doesn't it's probably the starter. Also check for corrosion on the cables loose grounds.
