Just took my 03 GTX 4Tec S/C out. When running at 5-6000 rpm the engine would start to lose power and RPM. Then it would pick back up, then do it again in a short time later. 150 hours on unit. 1/4 tank of fuel. Last time out, 4 months ago, it ran fine then. Any ideas,
Thanks in advance, Roccos

It's been a while. I can not get one plug out, frozen in. I've been soaking it with WD40. Any other ideas.

Try running the motor on the hose for 2 min then try removing the stubborn pump. I'm willing to bet that fixes your issue

When you get the plug out....

Always use anti-seize on the threads when you put plugs in. Aluminum heads ain't worth fckn around with.

Very easy to damage alum heads..

If you get it to move, don't just turn it out right away. Go back and forth with it and spray it with lube as you go.

If it keeps surging after you replace the plugs, then check the SC. (Pull the aft hose and see if you can turn it with your finger. How many hours on the SC since rebuild or replacement??

Got the plugs out, on one of the plugs the center electrode was gone. Looks like the threads in the head are not long for this world. I was told by my local seadoo mechanic (I live in Key largo, FL) to check for an exhaust leak in the engine compartment. He said if enough exhaust gets into the intake it will cause surging. However I'm leaving town for 3 months so I won't know how it runs til then.
Thanks all for the replies.
