How many hours on it, what shape is the trailer in (single or double) how does the hull and gelcoat on the ski look?

These all effect the price as well is there any rust or corrosion on the engine?

Turn the handle bars and throttle and reverse do they all move very easy?

In good condition expect to pay around $3000 for it, in perfect condition expect to pay near $3000-4000 depending on the person selling it.

Its all what someone is willing to pay for it that determains its value. I have a 2000 gtx in perfect condition where every nut bolt anything that could wear was replaced if it showed wear, anotherwards would be like you bought it new, I would put a value on the ski alone near $4000 with no trailer, its all determained by how well the ski has been taken care of. I have seen some of the same in running condition for $1200, 1500, 1800, 2000, 2500 etc. One must also understand that its odd that they dealer is only charging $3000 for it as thats usually the going private party value they sell for.

Has 170 hours.. Orig motor, or so he said because the headbolts are still painted original.. I live in the northeast so the season is coming to an end.. He said it would sell for 1000 more in the spring

A ski's value is also based on the availability of used ski's. If you live in an area where used ski's are listed by the dozen every day then the value of the ski is less than in an area where there is a limited supply of used ski's. Down here in SW florida that ski would not even sell for 2995. For example, I just sold a 99 GTX with a fully rebuilt engine, hydro turf pads and seat cover. Gauges and hull were perfect and it was on a nice shorelander trailer. Sold for 2700, I had it listed for 3000 for a month and finally took the 2700. My point being, look elsewhere to compare prices, even if you have to drive a little bit for the best deal.

Hope this helps,
Bruce

Bruce im located in sarasota, fl, a 2001 gtx in perfect condition with a good trailer I could certainly sell for an easy $3500 giving correct condition. Its all what one is willing to pay for it that makes the price. Its all in the presentation to the buyer why "your" ski is worth $200,$400$500 or more then a few others they have looked at and then explain why.

I could bet you that I could sell my 2000 gtx mill edition for $4000 with out the trailer in under a month based on what I have done to it.

Of course I am also a marine business.
