01 GTX DI Starts but will only idle

I just looked at a 2001 GTX DI low hours (42) It has a dead battery and the seller hooked it up to a jump box. The ski started inmmediatly,I heard a beep and the maint light was on.The ski sounded great but when I depressed the throttle nothing happened. It would only Idle.Any input on what this may be would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you think the Throttle cable was working? I would not buy one unless it was in perfect condition.

Yes The Throttle cable was working.
