Hello, Total boat newb here. I picked up a 2004 Sportster DI LE last summer, and when we have it out on the water, it emits a long, high-pitched beep every few minutes that lasts about two seconds. Note that we'll sometimes go through long periods of time when the beep is completely gone...

We was out on the boat today and everything was going great... We stopped (in natural) and the engine was just ticking over then for no apparent reason it just cut out. I pressed the starter button and the engine spun over but just would not start! Luckily there were some other boats around...

Trigger is coil within range... Two Beeps when Key is on post Cranks Strong No power to primary side of coils. Should this be constant 12v as with collapsing coil? No short in wires to primary side, Good ground in rear electrical box. All fuses on MPEM and one in rear box checked
