I deleted all the pics i had of it. I sold that about a yr ago. There maybe a couple in past threads but im not sure. I am now making a photo album of each one we get, before and after shots. We bought 22 jetskis this year and just keep getting more and more so we want to have something to keep track of what they looked like. Seems like every project is just a blur and blending into each other. Its hard to remember what we bought and when.

Yup, flip them, part them. What sucks is when we are done with each one we want to keep them lol. But i have one for my fiance which is the 96 xp in my avatar, i have a gsx and my buddy that does this with me has the same 2. I do most of the exterior work, and he is the motor guy, but we both do everything, i just like making them look good more and he is more into the motor. Im scared if we ever get a 99 spx we wont sell it. We have 2 98 spx right now that are in line after this xp. But after that we have 2 more gsx's lined up. We buy them faster than we can part/flip them. We hope to have ten ready to be sold by spring. We arent in a rush to sell them so we wait until spring to get more $$$

Here's one

Here are some before and after pics of the hull, tried taking more but the ipad doesnt have a flash

Yes but lose the iFad, major difference though. I really like the outside pics it really makes the ski pop and the hood looks sweet!

I see a lot of snow equipment but no snow, glad I gave it up now if I could just part with my set up and reel in some cash. I have my stuff on my dads Blazer, I couldn't stand how slow his old stuff was, now he likes my stuff better.

Im good wth just salting, i hate plowing, it seems never ending. If we get a 3 inch snow fall we are all out about 18-22 hours straight, then we go home for a couple hours just to go out and touch up parking lots the next day. In the pictures i think you only see a pusher blade for the bobcat, 2 v plows in the corner and a chevy 3500 stake truck with a v on it. There is 11-12 plows back there on trucks, a couple dump trucks with augers and a top kick with an auger and the stake truck has a 8 ft stainless steel vbox, there is also a spare vbox on pallets and a couple spare plows. Salting is where the money is and it only takes us 5-6 hours. Im always hoping its just an inch. A couple years ago the great weathman called for only a dusting to a half inch, we ended up getting 10 inches and we werent ready. Since we went out and started salting because we thought we were only seeing a small amount, we ran into a huge problem the salt we laid down starting melting the accumalating snow but it can only melt so much snow so the bottom layer turned to a slush but then froze as more came down, so we ended up with a thick layer on the bottom, well it ended up being a cluster f. Not to mention we had a few plows blow hydraulic lines and a dump trucks alternator went out at 3 am, Anyways snow is a huge headache, not to mention you never know when you are working, especialy simce we border lake huron we get alot of unexpected lake affect snow. What kind of plow do you use? we use western mvp plus's with the ultramounts. Those mounts are bad ass, just pull right up to it and pull up on the legs that lock in and plug to 2 connectors in and away you go. The old unimounts are a pain

Yeah I used to plow with my 86 1/2 ton with 6" of lift and 35's. I have a Meyer ST-7.6 steel blade with the E-60 quick lift and slick stick controls, rock solid set up. When I bought it that was the first year or second for a "EZ" mount, well before all the other boys caught on. I mean, all they did was change the truckside kit so you could remove the pump frame and it moved the pins even with the bumper so you didn't have to reach under the truck to put them in. I bought it in 94/95? and had it on my lifted 84 GMC step side. That plow and pump are flawless. The only thing I ever had to replace was an angle cylinder, caught a manhole cover while power angling and literally burst the bottom out of the cylinder. The V plows always looked cool and all the Yahoo's around me now have them, on their $60K King Ranches, you know you gotta look purty while your plowing. I never saw the need by me or the lots I did to warrant the V. My town outsources the "residential" plowing out. I talked to the township guy when he came thru to salt our street. I told him that the fancy boy in the King Ranch better learn to get with in six inches or the curb or I'm gonna take the storm drain grate off and let him total his truck. The guy laughed and told me he's been told this is his last time plowing for the township, they fired him that night and the guy took the tri-axle dump and tighten up to the curb--a full 2 feet back from where it was. Nice that I know the township guys on a semi personal level. I use to do big lots for $75 an hour, did that all night then went and did my own commercial lots in our industrial park. 5 lots @ $50 a pop and one for $125, in and out in 2.5 hours tops-that was my money lots right there. Now I'm done, can't stand it, my kids love going to my dads and ride quads or snowmobiles.

We love the v plows, we have alot of condos and big apartment complexes and about 100 job shops. The vplows help in tight areas, at the condos most of them have designated small areas we have to move all the snow to and its nice to scoop it away. All of our plows are the the mvp plus 8.5. They are nice since the whole plow setup comes off in like 1 minute. The only thing that suck about those is the price of the cutting edges are insane, the vplows are about $350 and the straight blade is only $160. The controls now are awesome they are hand held and plug in under the dash,

Well, this project slowed down, took apart the motor, here is where i have good news and bad news, the head looks mint, the motor was recently rebuilt as the pistons look newer and are wsm .25 over. so they looked good from the top but when we pulled the jugs there was a problem, looks like the rave valve on the mag side clipped the bottom ring on the piston and the piston had a chip in between the rings, pulled out the rave and yup you can see where it had clipped the ring by the gouges on it, what is weird is one rave valve(pto side) was shaved and the mag side was not. my guess is they replaced the rave for some reason and forgot they had to shave it and thats what caused the damage. Amazingly no damage to the jugs at all. Rotary cover and valve are great. The stator and flywheel look awesome. Now we split the cases, the paint on the cases look rough, so,some media blasting will have to happen to make them look good again, inside looks good no water, no rust, no shavings everything moves freely and spins nicely. We pull the crank, spin each bearing....smooth with no noise. Pull up on the first rod nice and tight, second rod uggghhh wiggle wiggle up and down play. So long story short, need one new wsm piston .25 over and i have a good used crank to thrown in her but a rebuilt sbt crank for $275 would be nice. So for about $350 this thing will be like brand new engine. I will get some pics of the the internals soon. Oh yeah when we pulled the bad piston one of the rings just fell off in 2 pieces, if the dess post didnt fail im sure the guy would have continued running it and we could be looking at catastrophic failure, either the rod failing and blowing out the cases or the rings coming apart on thier own.

I have been working on the new handlebar pad. I wet sanded one from a 96 gtx, filled in the holes where the dess post and choke were. Now it is ready for paint. I will be painting it tonight, and recovering the pad in either black or yellow marine grade viynl. I have black so that is convenient but yellow would really set it off. I have a pad from a 97 xp that was really rough, i tried cleaning it but is beyond saving so that option is out

HAHAHAHA That is so awesome!!!

I think he will be really happy with it, he hasnt read this yet, tomorrow at about 4pm he will. He has a 95 xp now and has been looking for a 96xp. I was going to make him a gsx because thats what i thought he wanted, but the day before i started it i was over his house and kind of brought up if hes seen anything on cl, he said he was looking at 96 xp's and mentioned they are still going at higher prices. I casually brought up what color scheme he would do and he said black everything and a single gauge hood. So i had an xp too so i think i got his wish list down. Tomorrow we have a family xmas party at his parents, at some point i am going to hand him my ipad and have him read this thread to see what he thinks of the project. today i went over there and squeezed it through a 36" gate and covered it up. The hull is 39" wide.

Your a good dude man. Much of the "profit" in fooling with these things is seeing those smiling faces!

when i hand my god daugher her key im going to have my wife video it for my.
i cant wait till i give her the HX.

Well he got it and loved it, he is silverss1969 if you couldnt tell by his post. I just got home from plowing for 22 hours straight. After i got home he came over to pick up the motor, seems like he cant wait to get started, he also asked about intake grates. he is going to powder coat the cases. Does anyone have any pictures they could post of their custom painted motors? He is trying to get a good idea of what colors would look good.
