Xpl alignment Tool instructions

I have a used tool coming but it dosnt have the instructions.
How do I replace the midshaft after
Alignment?
The full instructions would be awesome.

You will attach the correct plate to the pump mount studs. You will also thread the shaft support to the plate. Slide in the rod and when alignment is perfect, the rod will slide into the PTO spline end hole without hitting the edges.

But how do I get mid shaft back in after the engines aligned ?

The HX and 97+ XP’s are completely different because the mid shaft passes through the fuel tank. So basically you have to perfectly align the engine with the mid shaft out. Then note the location of all the shims. You then have to remove the engine and and install the mid shaft then put it all back together with the shims in the correct position.
