95 xp 800, I changed the oil injection to a premix setup. The question I have is does the cable off the throttle still need to be connected to the injector on the front of the motor? The issue I have is right off the trailer it runs great for about 200 yards then at full throttle it basically just idles. Any help would be great thanks.

If you are going to Pre-mix... you should remove the injector pump, and plug off the nipples in the manifold.

If the engine isn't throttleing up... then the carbs need cleaned out. Also... if you still have the gray tempo hoses... they all need changed.

Hoses wer changed, nipples are looped together off of pump. Injector pump was not removed though. Is that a must? If so what needs to be takin' off? I will clean carbs tomorrow and hope I find something in them. Thanks in advance.

you can keep the pump in, just take it out and remove the little drive-shaft coupler that is inside the MAG cover. You should be able to carefully pull it out w/ needle nose pliers. Bolt back on, and I think you can even leave all the hoses attached, as when the thing isn't spinning, it's not going to inject any oil. I'd check your plugs, you may have oil fouled them.

I think you can get away with keeping the pump on there, as well as all the hoses. You will have to remove the plastic coupler than turns the pump which is located inside the MAG cover. Carefully take off the pump, and pull out the coupler, and reinstall to keep water and stuff out of the MAG housing. I don't see why hoses would have to come off unless you're scared to leak all your oil in case one breaks (only the feed line is subject to this scenario).
