i just bought a 99 seadoo xp limited and the battery keeps draining. put a new one on and it keeps draining more or less straight away. it will start once maybe and run fine then if i turn it off it wont start again on the battery alone you have to put jump leads on it. can anyone help me with it please. also the clocks arent working properly. Thanks guys

Could be anything. I would hook up an amp meter, and start disconnecting things until you find the drain. My guess is either a bad regulator, or VTS.

Is the VTS centered? up or down a little could be the rod magnet affecting the reed switch in the vts houseing.
Suggest you center the nozzel or disconnect the VTS harness and see if problem goes away.

yes. Your wireing, Rectifier, and other things. We are starting with the most common to suggest where to look first. To rule things out!

The rectifier is built in to the mpem on these models i think, hope that hasnt gone. ok i'll have a look at the vts 2mo and let u know how i get on
