xp limited beeps

hi i have a xp limited 99'' every 3-5 mins whilst going it beeps for 2 sec...wondering if the buzzer may be buggered,,any suggestions.i disconnected the buzzer driving me mad,has ne1 had this prob b4 cheers nath

My GSX ltd 1999 does this aswell, i have no idea why,

It's possible the the temp sensor is telling you the cooling system isn't working at 100% if you unplug the sensor, and it over heats you could seize the engine. The buzzer will beep solid if it over heats. Unplugging the beeper is only a band-aid on the problem.

i have a 98 GSX LTD i noticed mine beeping when the fuel indicator gauge when out on my ski haven't fixed the gauge so don't know if that would fix the problem

a quick band-aid for a bad fuel baffle sensor is to short the 2 wires together. your gas tank will always read full but you won't have to listen to that annoying beep every couple of minutes.
btw, changing the fuel baffle on a gsxl is kind of a pain, you have to unbolt the steering assy and push it to the side and get the baffle out the steering hole.

when it beeps stop real quick and grab the motor and see if its hot . could also be your low fuel , could also be your oil tank sensor . i fit blows up you will know for sure what the beep was . lol
