WTB (Want to Borrow) Alignment tool

Hello fellas, shortly I will be dropping in a 787 motor into my new 96XP.

The mounts were taken completely out of the ski, shims and everything. I feel it will be next to extremely difficult to get it back the way it was.

Does anyone have the alignment tool I can borrow? I'll do Paypal and a reasonable deposit or what ever terms you may have for borrowing.

I can't afford SBT's price at this time, and does not make sense for a one time use. I saw another website (not sure if I should mention the name or not?) but they had rentals for cheap, but they stopped doing them for a while because they are busy.

Let me know if you guys can help me out... I am in Connecticut, if that helps.

Have you tried seadoosource.com ??

Lou

Thats the one, on top of the page says
"NOTE
I'm really swamped right now so have discontinued tool rentals until further notice. I hope to resume again in July if things slow down and will update this page when I do. Thanks!"

Yes... but I'm not wiling to part with my tools, to a new member, and I'm sure others feel that way too. (not trying to be harsh, just telling the truth) Besides... the reason STB's price is high, is because they include a return shipping label... and that includes wear and tear on the tool. (and potential damage)

If you were closer to Pitt... I would help you out. (Sorry)

OK... with that said... the best option is to just buy the tool, and re-sell it. You can probably make most of your money back.

I suppose that makes sense. Unfortunately I am new here. What is the tool actually worth? If I ebay it after using it, do you think it will actually sell anywhere near what I paid for it?

Thanks again DrHonda,

You can probably put it up with a starting bid of $100, and I bet you will get 90% of what you paid for it.
