Wrong piston rings?

I've got a donor block for my 2010 seadoo rxt 215 rebuild and new wsm standard size pistons and rings kit 99.96.

Well measuring my ring end gap I can fit a 0.53mm feeler Guage. Manual calls for 0.35mm to 0.50mm for new rings though.

99.96 is standard. I am sure not fully compressed as it would be when piston installed when you measured.

hello you measure piston ring end gap when ring is placed in cylinder and pushed down with bare piston [ no rings] set down about an inch and straight that's why you use a piston to put it square into the cylinder ring end gap is as you stated for factory rings aftermarket rings are always have slightly more end gap their tolerances are always a little sloppy good luck regards alex
