Hello all,

I am new to the forum and hopefully will be new to pwc's. I am at work on my BB so I will keep this short. I will introduce myself properly tomorrow when I am at home on the comp.
Anyway I have an chance to get a Seadoo spx 1995 model for $400. I have been looking for a fixer upper and this one is it. The guy says it needs a ignition modual. I have looked and they seem to be running in the $150 range. About what is the going price for a 95 spx? A lot of prices I see are from a few years ago. If I had to guess I would think $1000. Is this a good enough of a deal? There is not a trailer included. Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks

150 buks. If you can turn the motor over with either the start button or jump the relay, then take some wd-40, and a compression gauge, and getta reading. If anything above 125psi, ur golden. ALl other parts are easy and cheap to get.

Yup... for $400... if it's on a trailer... just buy it. if you find it's more work than its worth... then if you part it out... you will at least double your money.

But to answer your question... if it was running, and in good condition... $1000 to $1200.

I think that price is worth it. It really depends on what you are trying to get out of it. I bought the 95 SPX in the picture below for $500. It ran, but need the carbs cleaned and fuel system rebuilt. VTS works, gas gauge, etc. Did that and reupholstered the seat. I am out on it enjoying the lake multiple times every weekend, outrunning friends 2002 gtx's, etc.... Definitely worth it to me!!! If I were to sell it, I believe I would ask for $1500 w/the shorelander trailer.
