..just picked up a '95 seadoo sportster 657x engine..the guy I bought it from said the carbs were bad.So I went through the carbs, cleand filters, checked pop off,set high and low speed jets. the thing starts right up but any throttle at all starts to bog it down(this is running on a hose not in the water) open the thottle all the way and it starts to spit back.
Could the rotary valve be off time?

Thanks

to the guys helping me with my spx.I'm giving that a rest for now

inspect the paint on the RV covers' bolts. If still there, than nobody's been there. Make sure, the gas lines are right, install new plugs, clip plug wires, and if still "bogs", unplug the redwire at the rectifier, then try again.

problem solved.I feel like a jerk..was just about to pull the carbs back off when I noticed the shifter was in neutral...can't be that simple..but it was!
I am not familiar with seadoo jet boats and did not even consider that.

thanks for the help

try the simple stuff first
