Winterization connection

I have a 96 Challenger with a single Rotax 780 that I just bought used and runs well.

Anyway, after reading the manual I was looking around the boat and found the winterization connection on the stern of the boat and noticed that there was no cap on the exterior hull hose connection. It would seem to me that there should be a cap there.

When the boat is in Summer use mode should there be a cap on the winterization hose connection?

For what it's worth, I'm not talking about the flush connection near the engine compartment on the starboard side - and yes I know that has a hose cap. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something detremental.... Thanks!

no cap on the flush port at rear, you don't need one on the other one either, they just do that for looks. the cooling system is a sealed system meaning that it won't leak water into the boat, only the exhaust/engine system, the intake cooling line connects through the pump and sits well below the water line and there is no cap on that one either, not necessary.
