Problem: Thinks key is in all the time, will not turn off electronics. Buttons work. Will start and stop the engine.

Cause we think: Battery failed, used jump box before we knew battery was open. Blew 5A fuse. Replaced battery and fuse, a day later we had this new problem. Acts like power on relay is on all the time. We have found that you should never use a jump box on the 2003-2008 Seadoo jetski. Battery is part of the regulation and protection system.

Question: Where is power on relay?

Thanks,

Lee

using a jumper box won't hurt the seado, it's no different than a regular battery. however, jumper cables connected to a running car will damage the system. there is no "power on relay" per say. the mpem reads the chip in the DESS lanyard and allows it to run. all the brains are in the mpem and ecu.

if your stop button still works, your dess post may be bad.
