My 97 Challenger loves to take on dirty lake water as I get small splashes from the rear of the boat. The water comes in in blips into the drain port located near the bottom of the drivers seat. The rubber flaps are their, but don't provide a great seal. Will a swing check valve inline help with this? Is this a metric size hose? The rubber flaps don't do the best job of keeping water out.
Any help or suggestions appreciated!

i blocked mine off....

:hat::)i mounted a fish finder and disconnected the hose and ran my cable'n thru that hole and sealed it off with silicon. then let the hose ran to bottom of boat where pump could pick up any water brought in from the front of boat. i had same problem with more water coming in from rear to front.
