Why would anyone do this??

I used to have a Bayliner Jazz, and if wanted to you could fill the boat with water like what that guy did and just bilge it out. The engine compartment was separate so it was fun you could get going like 20-30mph and throw the thing in reverse and a wave of water would come splashing over the top, used to do it to new people on the boat sitting in front, it would really wake them up. :) Wake them up (play on words) but I definately would not do it in my Seadoo not worth the risk, parts are too damn expensive for 5 minutes of fun. If the bilge pump get clogged or water fills the engine compartment, no thanks.

You don’t even have a boat… so don’t worry. (j/k)

I’ve dipped the nose of mine… and like it was said above… the passenger compartment is separate from the bilge. The water that comes in, just goes out the hole by the drivers feet, and past the scooper valve in the transom. I only do it when I have someone on the front seat the really needs to get hosed. I have NEVER done it as hard as in that video. The worst time left about 3 inches of water on the floor, and it was all drained out in about 2 or 3 minutes of driving around. Most of the time, I do it to scare the people in the boat… but what I do is to just throttle reverse a little to dip the nose, but not actually put it under. The wall of water coming off the front, as it’s decelerating is enough to get a charge out of most people.

Message to self....Never buy Hydro's boat

Craig

I do like was said "just bring the water to the top of the hull but DO NOT fill the boat. Most water I have had was maybe an inch or two of water in the boat and it self drains very quickly.
BTW craig I just put my boat up for sale. The lake here just isn't suited for jet boats. :(
