2007 Seadoo 155 GTI. Starts and runs good, except the RPM's wander +/- 100 or so. Happens at idle and at any engine speed. Recently had to replace the ECU. Also replaced plugs and ignition coils. Condition existed before ECU was replaced, and still exists the same after new used one. Since the engine can make it to 7000 rpm, guessing the fuel pump and filter are probably ok. Suspect it may be the fuel injectors? Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Test the fuel pressure,,,then remove the fuel rail, disconnect the coil plugs,,,apply key,,,see if the sprays are a nice conical spray,,,and of course,,equal,,,i usually put a towel on the motor for this,,,but not always,,,if there is water in the rail..it will float on the surface,,,and what also do before the rail test,,,i remove the out fuel fitting at the pump,,,and run a hose from the fitting (5/16),,,into an external pure clean white pail,,,put the key on,,,fuel will be pumped into the pail and you will be able to see if you have water in the bottom of the tank,,,you repeat the move,,,remove the key,,apply the key,,,and fuel will be pumped into your pail each time for about 20 seconds,,,if you have water,,,it will appear early,
This enable you to rule out fuel pressure, water in the tank,,,and injectors from your equation,,,and will not cost you anything,,,of course,,,no smoking during the procedure.

Fairly normal for it to idle and vary between 1750 and 1900. If you don't look at the gauge which isn't great at keeping up with the actual rpm, does it sound steady? The newer ones with fly by wire do a better job at holding the idle more steady at 1700 but still varies +/- 50.
