My GTI has one carb on the motor. My question is will I get more power if I change everything over to a twin set up or just get one larger carb. thanks

headache...

then you'll need to re-jet it, reset the rotary degree, if not, have to replace it w/ bigger degree valve, another carb to maintain..etc.

bringing thread from the dead.
Can i reverse the swap?
I got a ski w/locked motor with dual carbs. Can I get a new 717 with single carb?? no changes to mpem??

I don't see a problem. As far as I know the mpem has no control over the carbs. or fuel delivery. Shouldn't make a difference.

Thanks.
I fiqured but the mpem controls rpms.
Didn't know if the dual carb has/have beneifts over single??
I would then need intake for single carb and new single carb or can I reuse one of the dual ones?
Also, is there any diffence in the 717 b/w the dual carb and single carb setup.
