Where to find intake grate for 2006 Sportster

Just discovered that my intake grate disappeared sometime last season...

They're no longer being produced by Seadoo. Solas said their SS0205 might fit, but they couldn't confirm.

Well I picked up the SS0205 and can confirm it definitely won't fit

BRP still makes parts for Scarab. Could this be it?

That'll likely be tough to find. Look up the BRP part number and then search for that by part number instead of model and there will be a "used where" tab. That will give you a list of all the boats that use that grate. The used market is probably your best bet as it's almost certainly a discontinued part.

If you can't find one, cut off the grate and install the mount ends and run it without a grate. I've been running my 06 Challenger like that for years. It has that weedless intake or whatever they called it and the "pump support insert" (back end piece of the fixed grate) broke off. The movable grate never worked properly either so I removed it and just left the hinge installed. I've never had an issue. It chews through weeds a lot better with the grate off to be honest.
